This summer, I've been making rice in my crockpot, which has been easy,
however all I had was short grain rice, which clumps and is "mushy" when cooked in a crockpot.
I had often heard praise for jasmine rice,
and, since it's a long grain rice,
I bought a 1 pound bag to try (this was my first ever experience with jasmine rice).
It has worked out well! :)
It's not mushy.
While cooking, the aroma is almost undetectable, which was mildly disappointing,
however there is an excellent aroma when the crockpot is opened.
In the same grocery haul, I bought a bag of mixed vegetables,
and decided to try it with the rice, as a meal.
It worked out well. :)
