After my most recent batch of hotdogs with frozen vegetables, I decided to try using vienna sausages, since I have plenty.
My hope was that the veggies would mask the "meh" taste of the "sausages". :)
This time, I tried a new-to-me Dollar Tree "Santa Fe" veggie blend.

It was adequate (neither bad nor great).
I used about half of a can of sausages, made a 2nd batch the same day, and ate all of both.
Next time, I'll add cheese, and will probably wait until I can make another batch of crockpot onions. :)

Calories & Cost:

item Calories Cost (actual)
vienna sausages (1/2 can) 130 $0.39
bread (2) 90 $0.10
frozen veggies 60 $0.21
Totals: 280 $0.70

I had a generous serving of potato chips with each serving, which improved both the calories and taste, however I did not measure the chips.
