This was an unexpected new-to-me Dollar Tree find.
It's been over two years since my last English muffin, so I immediately grabbed a pack. :)
Oblique top view of the package (after I had already eaten one):
Ingredients & Nutrition info:
Closeup (top view) of opened muffin, showing crumb:
After spreading with margarine, and cutting one side in half (so fits into my pan):
Flipped over, margarine side down, ready to grill:
After grilling, flipped over to show nice toasting:
These were a pleasant surprise,
and cost less than the (current) regular price of generic brands,
and about 40% of name brands.
I braced myself for mediocrity, but they were fine. :)
The "crumb" was nowhere near as good as high end English muffins, but that was within my expectations.
I will definitely buy more, though only 1 package at a time, since they are not long life.
The "fresh thru" date was "10/10", and was bought 2022-Oct-06.
I finished eating them all on 2022-Oct-19, with no mold/etc.
These cost $1.25 and have 720 calories (per box), so their cost per calorie-day(man)
is $3.47 which is somewhat frugal.
There's no noteworthy nutritional perk, nor is there anything "bad".
