Recently, the power cord of my 13 year old portable TV developed a tear. :(

At first, I considered not replacing it, since TV is generally a luxury, however I've found it has been a very useful backup for weather forecasts & news, particularly when cellular is not available.
During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, and during the 14~ months (2020-Nov to 2022-Jan) when I had no working cellular device, my TV was my primary source for both weather & news, as well as being a helpful morale boost.
In particular, each of my last two Christmases, I've been able to watch PBS' "Call the Midwife" Christmas special. :)

Early in my van life, I had researched "universal" car charger adapters, so I knew there were lots of options, and that converting to one would have the nice bonuses of reducing my power usage, and eliminating the hassle of using a DC-to-AC inverter. :)

I checked Amazon, and ended up picking this model (at time of purchase it cost $8.99 plus tax):
TL-JIYPU 12V 2A Car Charger, Universal DC 5.5x2.1mm Charger Adapter with 8 Connector Tips

It worked perfectly, first time (watching "Young Sheldon" on CBS). :)
At first, I un-plugged it after each use.
Then, for two days, I left it continuously plugged into my 2nd charger port and had zero issues (my other charger port has my universal laptop charger always plugged in).
This charger is much easier to unplug, since its handle has a nice rectangular ridged grip, instead of the rounded smooth grip that is typical.
So far, I'm very pleased with this device. :)
