For much of this past summer, I regularly made Egg Salad, and a few times I used my crockpot to cook the hard boiled eggs.
It's extremely easy. :)


Steps:

  1. place eggs in crockpot, add water (enough to almost cover eggs)
  2. cook on low for 2-5 hours (depending on your crockpot)
  3. remove eggs from water, leave to cool
  4. inspect one egg, to verify that it cooked sufficiently
  5. peel, then roughly chop eggs, mix in mayonaise and any desired spices and/or vegetables

So far, I've had two instances where they didn't cook through, so I just finished them in a regular pot on my gas stove.
This was a boundary case, due to my Zombie House Batteries (which are still (barely) lurching along).

As with many crockpot meals, this is very forgiving of forgetting. :)
I've used a wide range of times, and other than the battery issue, all batches were trouble free.
