» evolution of my main MOLLE pouch - 2021
My main "admin" MOLLE pouch has gradually evolved (original on left, current on right):
- I've found the flashlight is difficult to remove,
however I can easily turn it on and use it as a fixed location mini lamp.
So far, the only use I've made of the carabiner was to hang a (temporarily borrowed) battery powered lamp (which was handy).
Since both uses made more sense at the bottom row of straps, I moved both items there.
- The pen continues to be very useful, and its position is unchanged.
- This continues to be the perfect place for my
wristlets. :)
Note that one ear on one did fall off from wear & tear.
In summer, I tuck the wristlets down into the bottom of the pouch.
- My new headlamp needed to be some place where I could find it by touch, and this was the perfect location.
The lamp itself is loosely wedged underneath my wristlets, with the strap outside the pouch as a visual cue/reminder and for ease of removal.
- I bought a more powerful extra pair of (dollar store) glasses,
and tried it in one column of straps, which is extremely handy (and saved me the cost & space of a case).
- The mini spray bottle has vinegar, which can be useful against some bugs.
It's held in place by a velcro cable tie.
- At some camping locations, the pouch is an excellent "anchor" point for my portable TV's antenna. :)
Inside the pouch, I store some handwarmers and a blister strip of anti-diarrhea pills ("loperamide").
