For years, I've wanted to try making French Toast from egg & milk powders.
Recently, I had an older loaf of white bread (bought on sale), plus margarine (from my hotdog bun garlic bread experiment), which gave me the impetus to experiment.
It worked out somewhat better than I expected! :)

Recipe:

Here's the ratio that worked for me:

Combine powders and water, optionally add vanilla and/or sugar (I didn't have any so didn't use either), mix thoroughly.
Briefly dip each slice of bread into mixture, then pan fry each side until desired brownness.

Tips:

The only significant issue is that the mixture is less viscous than regular french toast batter, so the bread absorbs it much faster & more thoroughly.
The bread can easily become overloaded, and tend to fall apart during frying.
On a bright note, the powders mean it's impossible to get a partial fried egg effect. :)
